If you want to change your domain name registration company to another registrar, this article will be your guide for a successful transfer.
Domain transfer from one registrar to another basically requires the same process which are:

1. Unlock your domain on your dashboard from your current registrar.

2. Get authorization code to transfer, this code will be sent to the email you used when registring with the current registrar.

3. Sign up with the new registrar you wish to transfer to.

4. Find and click on the transfer link on the new domain registrar page.

5. Enter the name of the domain you want to transfer and supply the authorization code sent to your email by your old registrar.

6. Enter your billing address and payment card details.

7. Submit and follow other instruction from the old and new registrar.

Completion of domain transfer won't take more than 30 - 45 minutes, but in some cases it may take 5 - 7 days depending on the old and new registrar.

Note:
1. You cannot transfer an expired domain, to transfer an expired domain you'll first need to renew with the current registrar before initiating a transfer.

2. You may also not be able to transfer a domain that is less than 60 days old with the current registrar to a new registrar.

3. Make sure you have access to the email you registered the domain with before initiating a transfer, you'll need it.

Drop your questions below and also share your experience with your current and old registrar if you've ever transfered a domain.
